I was fairly unfamiliar with the case until a YouTuber named "really graceful" (I'm pretty sure she is a fellow goat) put out a video. She mentioned it was found in the dad's office, I find it horrific that it didn't tie the family to the murder. Putting a child through beauty contests for pedos to rate on attractiveness is torture enough. The whole idea of it being ritualistically done on a holiday extra disturbing. Wow guys, I'm all for expressing your frustration, but this is becoming a major theme in the pizzagate subvoat. I don't even know why I bother to say anything, I normally accept that it won't be worth anything, but consider this my own expression without any real intent to convince you.

If you claim to be lawful or righteous, how can you seriously rely on torture vigilantism as any justification? Don't mistake my understanding, and please don't question my own intent like everybody automatically does. If I were in the position, and I felt I was the only one who recognized the guilty, I would do terrible things to these people that would give me night terrors. But I don't openly celebrate it without any recognition of my hypocrisy, remorse or evil consequences. I know you've lost faith in the court, who fucking hasn't? But there's a reason we don't extend our capital punishment to public executions, hangings, guillotines or being drawn and quartered. There's a reason these are still practised exclusively in Iran, North Korea or Somalia. I thought it was still relevant that the lack of deterrence is real, and I thought everybody believed in the democratic values or held the justice system in their foundation?

Why is this immature / rudimentary need to appease your vengeful appetite so accepted here? Why is it celebrated to skin people? Aren't we supposed to be more alert and steadfast than ever, doubling down on values? Aren't we learning anything from the principles of Assange or Snowden? It's like that old question of what's wrong with raping a rapist? Do you really think this is acceptable to do to people, as the torturer? Does it make for a healthy society, or a healthy psychology of the person avenging it? Aren't you the same as the enemy if you only want to satisfy your immediate retaliation to hurt people? Doesn't extremism breed extremism?

Note, I don't have anything against the general conservatism expressed in the members here, I don't identify as either right or left-wing, I've never been to the US, I don't necessarily oppose the death penalty, certainly not in the apprehension of these elites, I only mean to question your values, or your level of sincerity, when you advocate for torture and vigilantism. If you were genuinely being sarcastic, I'm sorry for overreacting. When it comes to the strong religious associations or anti-gay sentiments by the community, my grievances are more mixed, but that's entirely a different matter. Please try to understand where I'm coming from.
