Another interesting Irish case with allegations of SRA involving members of police force https://m.independent.ie/irish-news/gardai-revisit-house-of-horrors-paedophile-case-29226565.html

What this very clearly illustrates is that you're going to see large-scale pedophilia in countries that have a majority that belong to fundamentalist religions.

Fundamentalism and pedophilia seem to go hand in hand with pedophilia.

IMO there has to be a correlation of the fact that the religions that hide pedophilia in plain sight and talk about cleaning it up, but cover up for perpetrators instead, are doctrinare and fundamentalist:

1) the Catholic Church

2) Orthodox Judaism

3) Wahhabi Islam

I wonder why . . .

God is a paedophile! JK...It's their anti-woman orientation (especially catholic/muslim) that turns their desires into unnatural ones imo...

huhWHAThuh

It's not the religions. It's that those religions exercise a high level of power and control. Where else do pedophiles gather? High levels in Police forces, the Judicial system, Politicians, Media moguls, and anywhere else they can hide behind a curtain of respectability.

Mad_As_Hell

This 100%, power is corrupting, and the Church controlled all aspects of life in Ireland up until the 1990s and the police force, judicial system, media etc. were complicit

think-

Agree. On the other hand, too much liberalism is toxic too (I'm saying this as a former leftie who is now a bit more conservative). There needs to be a balance - rules and structure are necessary, but shouldn't be too strict.

It sounds to me that there is still some kind of cast system going on in those villages. The fact that the police and others thought so very little of adoptees or orphans and then defended a "fine upstanding citizen" speaks volumes to me. I think this is still going on all over the world actually. As soon as some famous or beautiful child of employed well adjusted people goes missing it is broadcasted everywhere. This is not so for the indigent and homeless and those considered on the lower rungs of the ladder of success. Thoroughly disgusting and I don't know how we can ever change this. Horrid. @think

dtneslo

Never thought of it in contrast to a caste system but I think your right!

carmencita

There has always been a caste system. It never ends. Some people get great pleasure in looking down on others. It raises them to a much higher rank. It has always disgusted me. I know very few people that are elitists that have a real deep knowledge of what those beneath them suffer through. They throw money at a charity and that makes them feel good.

think-

Yes, I noticed this even among left-wing people who have money. Even I was raised in this way. I guess it depends on how much empathy you have in general and how much you are able to think out of the box.

Unfortunately, this kind of thinking really prevents the takedown of pedophiles. This is why it is so important to name examples of politicians, judges and policemen who got convicted for sexual abuse. Most people think sexual abuse happens only among poor and uneducated people, and that only filthy looking men are perps.

I remember the first time I met a survivor: A woman who went to college with me. Her father was head of the child protection agency in the city she grew up in. He had raped her from a very young age and told her: 'Try to tell people about it - nobody will believe you anyway.' He was a respected member of the community and since he was head of this agency, everybody thought he must really care about children.

carmencita

So very true. There are people in my family that still goes to church. There is no point with the older ones. It is ingrained. But I am working on others.

think-

A worthwhile read. I have no idea why this got downvoated.

Shill Storm. Or because it is over 6 yrs. old. It is still very informational. Pass this on to your Irish friends. There are so many of these situations that have happened there and in England. Not to mention the stealing of babies from Mothers in both countries. It never ends. People need to grab hold of these morons and beat the Living He$$ out of them. I have an Irish friend and it is going to be hard to tell her about this. The MSM wants to bury these stories.

think-

It is still very informational. ..

Yes, absolutely. A typical example of how police are implicated in cover-ups. Great for redpilling people who think this it is a mere conspiracy theory that police and judges are implicated.

carmencita

Yes. Sometimes considered some of our "very finest", are really quite the opposite. People have to start thinking of them as everyone else. They have been put on a shelf and we should not take them down. We have been brainwashed into thinking that they are of a higher caliber. Well, maybe some of them are, just like we are. But just like some others can be horrible people, so can they. I am so sick of people dumping on the poor and homeless.
