@Blacksmith21 , how is a celebrity gymnast suing the US Olympic Committee for her abuse as a minor by the team doc not stating a connection to PG? It seems like an excessively strict application of the rules to remove in this case, especially without suggesting a better headline.

Also, the comments seem to support this as pretty obviously PG relevant.

I'm going to go ahead and remove the flair.

My bad.

it seems blatantly obvious to me how it relates to pizzagate. I had no trouble figuring it out.

In court papers filed in California, the gold medalist contends the sports federation knew or should have known that team doctor Larry Nassar was molesting her and other young athletes under the guise of medical treatment.

It's a technicality. We've been able to cut the shit/shillposts significantly by enforcing some new standards.

Until you ban share a link posts, which this is, its a little nit picky :)

100% agree. I campaigned to make a rule of no links in the title, but was overrode.

tell her to stop doing naked magazine covers if she wants to be a hero/leader, and donate the proceeds of her lawsuit to the cause

3141592653

all her proceeds are donated. I do not think any of her photo shoots have been in poor taste.

Jobew1

The abc news article i read didnt say she intends to donate any potential recovery from her just filed suit. Re swimsuit/si basically nide photos talking bout overcoming abuse, what message is that exactly? U too can sell sex even if some immoral man abused you? Guess we disagree

3141592653

i think us agreeing that we disagree is awesome and the foundation of keeping this board strong. one sorta naked picture I saw of her was her naked body, nothing exposed, with empowering slogans all over it. I don't think there's anything demeaning or sexualized about that. it says that her body is hers, that it is beautiful, and that she makes her own choices. I did see her sports illustrated photos and agree they are "sexy" pics. but I think a woman has a right to do that and that in no way means she deserves to be abused. to me the problem isn't necessary sexy photos, but sexually objectifying photos, that show women as sex objects or mere body parts. i see those as the ones that increase violence towards women. but i think a woman has a right to do an artful semi-nude photo and is still deserving of respect. she is an incredible young woman. immensely talented and brave.

That's the problem, more hypocrites, than people who are true leaders. Most of the #me too are hypocrites. They cry wolf when they show their half their boobs, wear short short skirts, even down to the make up. No one has decrement, true decrement comes from fearing God. None of this would happen if so.

from the article:

Six weeks after she focused the nation's attention on the U.S. Olympic Committee's bungled response to an enormous sexual-abuse scandal, gymnastics champion Aly Raisman is suing the embattled organization.

In court papers filed in California, the gold medalist contends the sports federation knew or should have known that team doctor Larry Nassar was molesting her and other young athletes under the guise of medical treatment.

Raisman's move comes days after the U.S. Olympic Committee, fresh off the Winter Games in South Korea, announced chief executive Scott Blackmun was stepping down because of a prostate cancer diagnosis.

If Olympic officials thought Blackmun's exit would mollify critics, they were wrong. In a statement, Raisman said the USOC and USA Gymnastics are stonewalling on the question of what they knew about Nassar's predatory behavior.

"After all this time, they remain unwilling to conduct a full investigation, and without a solid understanding of how this happened, it is delusional to think sufficient changes can be implemented," she said.

I hope she will be successful!
