Alex Jones was there from the beginning, burgeoning days of the internet and it seems as though Jones did ride off the coattails of some other relatively notable conspiracy theorists of the day and there was even some controversy of him stealing formatting and general marketing strategies for this brand of 'conspiratorial research'. Alex Jones has had it in his head that this was a money making strategy from the beginning just as Rense has, except Rense has toned himself down and remained in the limelight with his very simple website and podcasts, Jones took it full bore. Between that time I do believe he got wrapped up in the intelligence services somehow and has been playing guardian for quite some time now. He has continually avoided zionism and it's world influence and I believe his handlers are saving that for the big day. Alex Jones "style"is grating and incendiary for a reason and ALL of those reasons are being used against HIM and "US" on a daily basis.
