Where is everyone? This post should be attracting so much more attention. It involves priests and sexual abuse of our children and the Vatican coverup of it. We need more eyes on this. This is a very good thing and I hope it gives other LEOs the courage to move forward as well. We know there is more of this occurring in so many other places.

DeLand Robert, Jr. 1973 P Charged Diocesan

Arrested 2/25/18. Suspended from public ministry.

In 8/17 police received report of sexual assault by DeLand of a 21-yr-old man.

Later, parents of a 17-yr-old boy reported to the police concerns about DeLand's relationship with their son.

The boy agreed to go under-cover; after 4 months DeLand was charged with criminal sexual conduct.

DeLand allegedly gave the boy alcohol and ecstasy.

"Nearly half a dozen" more people contacted police after the arrest, alleging attempted and actual sexual abuse by DeLand, some going back three decades; some were minors when allegedly abused, at least one female. Diocese knew of "rumors" re DeLand in 1992.

In 2005 DeLand investigated by Review Board after woman called to say her brother, who died by suicide in 1993, may have been abused in the 1970s by the priest.

Determined to be "unfounded."

Thanks for posting that. Looks like we are the only ones that have realized how important this post is. There have been some upvoats but hardly any comments. People first coming here and reading will not know how important this is. LE rarely gets involved with the archdiocese.

I think that's how they used to make their money decades ago, but then with all the diddling of children and payouts, they had to make it some other way, and then BINGO they discovered they could make even more money by growing their sick and disgusting operations. CP organ harvesting stem cells and sex trafficking our children

I cannot access that site due to my using Mozilla Fox and have discovered that when someone posts the archived version only then can I access this site. According to MLive, six years ago, Cistone was accused of misleading a grand jury by not acknowledging that he witnessed the shredding of documents that contained the names of priests suspected of child molestation in 1994 while he was serving as a church official in the Philadelphia area. He never faced any criminal charges in that case.
