I see a lot of this, and I consider it subliminal programming, it is vile; it is not the cartoon character itself, but the sexualized dancing and suggestive body language that is inappropriate for a pre-teen

There are a lot of pedophiles here into hentai. That image in nothing compared to things I've seen. I find it very strange that we have this pizzagate sub and also so many subs with people admitting to being pedophiles and posting images of pedophilia drawings. Are they from 4chan?

That's the GamerGate girl, I don't know her actual name, but I do know she basically represents a female construction to combat stereotypes about gaming culture, born from the journalistic controversies on female representation in games and media in 2014. I saw a lot of memes about it for a while. Never knew why people thought to sexualize her, because I thought the whole point was to show how gamers weren't about that and they understood it, but any small minority will sexualize anything, I guess.

For me, it's not such a big deal, but I still dislike that sort of thing personally, always have. I don't even like gifs, or anime references, but I'm certainly used to it by now, so I take it for granted. By the way, your response and retort quotes are the same. I still don't know what the response was.

Sorry for the large image; this is a screencap of a random session I had ages ago. Notice the advertisement on the bottom right? As far as I can tell, that is the one and only advert of pornographic content that I've seen on voat, although I haven't followed through or clicked every ad on here, I have no incentive. That is a literal and explicit paedophilia comic, or game, or both, I can't really tell the difference, under some German title I believe.

I know voat has the right to dictate any advertisement they see fit to display, but it's certainly bothersome to me now, knowing what it pertains to, when pizzagate and QAnon are literally the only subvoats I frequent. Frustration and jarring to say the least, and I just wanted to point that out.

If I had the ability to edit my title I would've characterized this as 'pedophilic" in all fairness to Voat, it is suggestive of a preteen in a sexualized manner, however I am not saying everyone who posts these gifs see it that way or necessarily intended it, I think that originates in the industry who puts these cartoon characters out, they are "cute" but then again, that's the honey, it is a subtle message, imo

I can get behind that, but it wasn't the industry that originated this one. That cartoon is a specifically fan created character, by the people of 4chan I believe; it did not exist before 2014, it was only made to be a girl gamer that represented online communities like 4chan.
