I accidentally posted because of lag when I was submitting. I would like to save this worthy comment from @surfinmindwaves . If you like, give this person an upvoat when you have a chance.

Is this claim true? Neither Pepsi nor Senomyx returned calls, so we don't know the companies' side of the story. But a perusal of Senomyx's patents suggests that it may well be. All but 7 of the company's 77 patents refer to the use of HEK 293 (human embryonic kidney) cells, which researchers have used for decades as biological workhorses. (For the bio-geeks among you, these cells offer a reliable way to produce new proteins via genetic engineering.) The company appears to be engineering HEK cells to function like the taste-receptor cells we have in our mouth. This way, Senomyx can test millions of substances to see if they work as different types of taste enhancers without subjecting human volunteers to endless taste tests. To non-scientists this may sound a bit strange, but the reality is that HEK 293 cells are widely used in pharmaceutical research, helping scientists create vaccines as well as drugs like those for rheumatoid arthritis. The difference here is that Senomyx's work for Pepsi is one of the first times the cells have (potentially) been used to create a food or beverage. (And it's important to note that no part of a human kidney cell are ever a part of Senomyx's taste enhancers or any finished food products.)

The Nuova Bussola Quotidiana writes, that Katarina Le Blanc from the Swedish Karolinska Institutet, who was named on June 13th as a member of the Pontifical Academy for Life, works with human stem cells derived from aborted children.

In 2013 she published with other authors an article in PLOS ONE on stem cell research based on cells harvested from killed human embryos. The Pontifical Academy for Life declared in 2000, that such research is immoral.

In July 2016 Le Blanc published in Scientific Reports with others a study based on cells taken from the lungs of aborted children, purchased from the abortion-network Planned Parenthood at the price of 45 Dollars a baby.

Science is powerfully intoxicating. People erase morality, justified in their pursuit of lnowledge and power. Take Dr. Craig Venter’s ‘creation’ of artificial life for example.

In the case of your comment: no one stops to consider that a baby had to die to achieve this paltry scientific discovery. Thanks for your support.

They do get tunnel vision in the name of science

Glad to add this to your post

Pope Francis is really shaking things up and not in a good way

Of course they sell aborted babies to third parties. They are on tape arranging such deals. Its a large part of their business.

GreenDell144

That gets reported.. and nothing happens. Next, there are reports that products that everyone uses are made with aborted fetuses. Still ignored. People think hotdogs are gross because of what their made from? Do vegans drink Pepsi? I’m Praying for changes...

Who the hell would decide to make something in the kitchen and decide hmmmm this is missing something .... I know, let's try aborted fetus!

This is disturbing!

sore_ass_losers

No they don't.

Senomyx is a company, not a flavoring or food additive. They are indeed in the business of making flavorings, to reduce the amounts of sugar and salt needed in processed foods.

They don't use fetal cells in the actual flavorings. They use fetal kidney cells in some sort of device that they use to assess flavorings during development.

The fetal cells are from a baby aborted in the 70's. There is a fetal cell line HEK293 of cells continually grown from that fetus that is used widely in biotech.

Cell-lines are in themselves controversial. The most widely used line is HeLa, named after Henrietta Lack. Apparently her cells just grow and grow so they are used widely in biotech. The controversy is that she never gave consent for this use and her heirs do not profit. It's a strange form of immortality.

PepsiCo is one of the clients that uses Senomyx's sweet enhancer in their products (maybe not just Pepsi?).

Here's a good article from the Weston A. Price Foundation, concludes:

'Those of us who spend great amounts of time, effort and money to seek out real food, local food, nutrient-dense food with integrity, are all too aware that processed foods are not healthy. But what about the rest of the general public? They need to know the truth behind the billion dollar advertising budgets! There is no amount of flavor enhancement that can truly give us a higher quality of life, especially if we already have diabetes, high blood pressure, or another aspect of metabolic syndrome. There is no processed food “imagined” by R&D departments that will improve our health. Processed foods are marketed by profitable firms, highly paid to promote deception. They hope we focus on grand claims of reduced sugar, reduced salt, reduced MSG and forget to wonder about “artificial flavor” in the fine print on the back label. They hope we are impressed with their magnificent assay systems while they disregard our anger when we discover the offensive origins of their technology. They hope we focus on the perception of enhanced flavor and neglect to realize that in fact the flavor isn’t even there—the “Emperor’s new clothes” of the food processing industry.'

Yes, you are correct about Henrietta Lacks's cells. Johns Hopkins lied to the family for years and used her cells without informing. Anyone that has ever had a transfusion or operation has Henrietta's cells in them for they are used all over the world, globally. Yes it is a horrid thing they did to her an her family. Thank you for bringing that up. There is a book written about it. The Life of Henrietta Lacks.

sore_ass_losers

HEK293 (which I just learned about from the article I linked to although @Shizy mentions it too) seems pretty shady too. The fetus couldn't consent, I hope at least the parents donated it to science, although they probably never guessed this would happen. (Imagine drinking Pepsi that was developed using technology incorporating your aborted child, unknowingly.)

As I understand it there is something special about Henrietta Lack's cells that they grow so well, yet they are used in many experiments to judge the reaction of normal human cells. I wonder if there is an issue there.

carmencita

I never really drink pop/soda. Sparkling water with lemon/lime for me. Especially when I heard that story. I can't imagine how a woman would feel if they told her the real truth. They have been lying to women. Just imagine what would happen if the real truth were made public, well actually it is on the internet for all to see. I believed it just until recently, yes, I could not believe they would be so very cruel. But upon swallowing the red pill, I woke about that too. I never would step into a woman's shoes, but I could never do that. I would somehow find a way to keep my child.

The cells I have always believed, reacted to the radiation or chemo they gave her. I have not read the book for a while, but I remember they gave her so much radiation, more than they would today, I have always believed they were using her as an experiment, which they did to Blacks in that hospital. I think they pushed those cells to do what they did. Did they know the cells would respond in such a way, I don't know, but they were certainly hoping. What they did to that family is beyond criminal.

GreenDell144

I have been thinking seriously about moving to the country and starting an organic homestead. Check out this lady’s YouTube channel:

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYI69mLPLAtRdExRfvgIoqQ

She’s teaches how to choose your animals and raise them, gardening, how to select land, titling deeds, barn raising, etc.

carmencita

It all looks good to me except the part where she visits Disney Restaurants. She has not been Red Pilled, but that does not mean she should not be a good voice for farming and homesteading. I think it is a great idea. But do not get so far out that you shield yourself from reality and humans. Keep the door open and keep up with what's going on in the city. Not so far out that you are totally removed. Yes, your food and health will def improve. And the animals are a very good mood relaxer and they are very forgiving.

GreenDell144

Thank you for the clarification. We can’t form valid opinions in ignorance.

I have studied Henrietta Lack’s case, but I did not know about HEK 293. It’s like a freakish form of immortality in both cases. Their cells are still alive and viable. I think if given the choice, the aborted fetus would have preferred to have a chance at life as a human, and not a tool for defeloping artificial flavors.

sore_ass_losers

I didn't read any of the links but wanted to jump in (!), because I did know the fetal cells don't wind up in the Pepsi. I also knew about HeLa but not HEK293. Actually I thought they used taste bud cells, I think I've read that on the net, and directly from fetuses rather than from a cell line.

The rest of my information is from the article I just researched at the link, I should have acknowledged my source better. The concluding paragraph I chose to post does editorialize a bit but the rest seems like solid information. (For those who haven't heard of Weston Price: he was a Western dentist who found people in undeveloped countries tended to have better teeth. After he studied this issue he concluded it was because of the Western diet, with sugar and processed food.)

It seems to me biologists ought to think about ethics a lot more. They could use cells from bodies donated to science or designated as organ donors and from spontaneously aborted fetuses with parental consent, but even beyond that they should get informed consent for this 'freakish form of immortality' as you well put it.

Professorballs

Think pepsi max used foetal cells in early research on flavouring

GreenDell144

Check shizy’s and sore-ass-loser’s comments above.

fuckingmockies

Imagine if every woman who got an abortion demanded to bring home the fetus so that it could be buried properly. Free abortions would cease pretty fucking quickly.

carmencita

Great idea. I would pay for that for those that could not afford it. There should be a Fund for Fetuses. This would put a stop to their Sinful Practice.

Shizy

Look into the company synomex and their HEK293. Here is an overview from dr. mercola:

https://www.google.com/amp/s/articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2013/03/17/amp/senomyx-flavor-enhancers.aspx

Once again snopes is "right" due to their wording. There are no aborted fetal cells IN the finished products per se, however aborted cells were used to develop the flavors for a lot of food products we consume. First of all, that's just sick! Second of all, can we really trust these companies?

Let's not also forget that there are two lines of fetal cells that were taken from two aborted babies and are used to make the MMR and Varicella vaccines! That's right, the vaccines that are currently being given to children contain cells from two aborted babies. You can look it up for yourself on the vaccine inserts from the manufacturer, but don't depend on your child's doctor to give that to you. They will look at you like you are stupid and the. Give you a colorful one page handout. You can find all of the actual inserts on the CDC website and read for yourself.

dundundunnnnn

aborted cells were used to develop the flavors

This is also how they develop some vaccines.

Shizy

Yes, and it's disturbing. Not just because of the abortion issue, but because despite them saying it's "safe", do we really know what injecting cells from another human directly into our bodies does to us? It's no surprise that autoimmune disorders are off the charts now! But according to the medical community, they have no idea why. Yeah right!

jangles

This is correct, with regards to other products there is warrant for concern. Particularly, the classification for 'artificially made' in the bio pharmaceutical world concerns me. Some of the large proteins and hormones used in intermediate formation steps are very expensive to produce, if even possible. When there is a growing demand for high value products, the supply chains get convoluted with unethical sourcing. In the PP undercover report from JK at VL, the director says something to the order of "diversify our revenue streams", how much revenue? who benefits?

@GreenDell144

GreenDell144

This knowledge staggers me, because of all of the artificially processed products I have consumed in my lifetime. Worse, what can I give my kids? Even something as simple as an apple is just a ball of sugar, that has likely been kept frozen for months during distribution, without any nutritional value left in it. This is motivation to get of the grid, start homesteading and grow all of my own food.

jangles

be more weary about medicine and vaccines, food is not derived from humans, unless your name is John Podesta

dundundunnnnn

In the meantime, we supplement with liquid minerals. We eat 90% fresh fruits and vegetables but the land the produce is grown on is not well rotated. Food that is nutrition dense will be dark in color and have VERY good taste. Tomatoes from the grocery store taste like nothing because they are devoid of mineral and nutrients. Read a book called "The Dorito Effect"; essentially processed food has no nutritional value but it is artificially made to taste like it is FULL of nutrients.

GreenDell144

Also, most produce is flash frozen and may travel as much as a year before it appears in the market. Even apples. By that time it is just a ball of sugar with few nutrients. I’ll check out that book.

GreenDell144

The doctor don’t stick around to answer those questions anymore. The just send nurses in these days. 😬

Shizy

Yep you're right about that!

“The difference between theater and performance is that in the theater the blood is ketchup, and in performance, it’s real,” she told Tagesspiegel of her work. I wonder if she used any parts of that abortion. Vile Demon.

Judgejewdy

That makes me want to hurl. And it sounds twisted enough for the psychos in charge to want to do it to us. I wonder how much space all the aborted fetuses would take up if not recycled?

testu_nagouchi

Don't know about the whole fetus thing but this is terrifying.

Senomyx's products work by amplifying the intensity of flavors. Because very small amounts of the additive are used (reportedly less than one part per million) Senomyx's chemical compounds will not appear on labels, but will fall under the broad category of "artificial flavors." For the same reason, the company's chemicals have not undergone the FDA's usual safety approval process for food additives.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Senomyx

sore_ass_losers

Yes, no FDA scrutiny, as poor as it is already.

I'm hoping at least "artificial flavors" is required on the label.

This could get tricky: I notice Cadbury/Kraft is one of Senomyx's clients. Cadbury's chocolate bars have "artificial flavors", but you look in the ingredients and think it's just vanillin. Vanillin's been around for a long time, apparently it's used more than vanilla now in processed foods, so you might think nothing of it. However the well known vanillin artificial flavor is effectively hiding any Senomyx flavor.

(I shouldn't be so complacent about vanillin:

From 1940: On the Toxicity of Vanillin and Ethyl Vanillin for Rabbits and Rats

https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1002/jps.3030291001

Well as the first paragraph of this paper states, ordinary vanilla can be toxic.)

GreenDell144

I’m swearing off processed foods. Gonna get me some chickens and grow a garden. I stopped dairy 3 years ago. I feel great!

Seems like the way to go. I was non-dairy for a while and lost some pounds.

Processed food is cardboard with salt and sugar, now even the salt and sugar won't be real.
