Full disclosure, there was a Hellfire Club in Sydney having monthly parties in Darlinghurst when I was there a few years ago. Open to the public, no secret handshake required. Basically adult themed parties featuring costumes, music, and dancing with a lot of exhibitionism. Not sex parties, no actual intercourse of any sort going on. No illegal drugs allowed, I never saw anyone actually drunk. No satanic rituals. Better behaved than the average Kiwi pub. Everyone was well over 18, and non-consensual groping or harassment was grounds for immediate eviction, never saw it happen. Could anyone be blackmailed for going to one of these? Maybe if they were married and didn't tell their spouse I guess. Did some of the people who attended do illegal or evil things? Maybe they did elsewhere, but not at the Hellfire Club.
