A top level judge who used his position of authority to prey on young girls has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for dozens of counts of child trafficking and sex abuse. Judge Tim Nolan of California, Kentucky represented District 5 on the Campbell County School Board. He served at the chair of the 2016 Donald Trump campaign in Campbell County. During Trump’s presidential run in 2016, Judge Nolan was serving as the chair of his campaign. The alleged sex trafficking occurred in August of 2016 — while Nolan was working on the Trump campaign.

The Hill's twitter feed posted this, for the second time today for some reason, right before it posted an article about a random GOP member saying "Trump supported a pedophile" (meaning Roy Moore). The gaslighting is so fucking obvious.

And of course these articles don't mention that the judge was campaign chair in a county in Kentucky. They just say campaign chair.

I agree this is good. It proves that Trump isn't selectively applying justice -- backing the right candidates is no longer a free pass.

However there are over 3,000 counties in the USA. This isn't exactly the "Trump team."

Sexual abuse is bad but I'd like to know since when sexual abuse of multiple victims is considered "human trafficking" or "sex trafficking". It seems that they're just throwing that label onto any sex-related crime now. Using force, coercion, or imprisonment to get somebody to perform a sex act is horrible, but not the same as a shipping container packed with immigrants or forcing someone to work in a massage parlor for years to work off their debt to the mafia.

Sex trafficking does not mean they are being shipped in containers. It only means they are taken from one place to another for the purpose of sex. This being said I upvoated you because I believe I understand what you are saying and wholeheartedly agree. It is as if they are trying to say 'Look! We are arresting THE traffickers' when the real traffickers continue to do what they have been.

I have to agree with you. While not all of the details may not be revealed in this one article, according to the stated details, I would think he could only be charged with forced prostitution of a minor and/or kidnapping. Now, if it said he had taken the girls across state lines to johns, then we'd have trafficking, which may be the case seeing as California and Kentucky are mentioned.
