Usually true. However psychopathy is believed to be genetic. About 1-2% of humanity are psychopaths. About 4% of humanity are sociopaths (this is environmental).

Sad and Correct. Those genetically affected children are sadly at the mercy of their parents just as others. We are not all created equal. It is sad that we cannot help care for those that start out afflicted. But parents need to do the best they can. Families need to dig in and help. Mental health is a huge problem.

I think the ones that can be helped are the ones that have not been so deeply abused and horribly raped over and over. If they are lucky to have support and get help early on, they can come out of it, although they still can have horrible flashbacks. The ones that cannot be helped are those that get repeatedly abused every day for years, for it can rob them of their soul. It is extremely hard to find the right help and therapist. Those that are SRA Survivors or Victims need an SRA therapist. It is that specialized. For their pain is horrid. It's all awful either way. I am friends with an SRA Survivor and let me tell you she as been to Hell and Back. I don't know how she came out of it. She is my Inspirational Angel.

There are so many other "conditions" - mental illnesses specifically - which are inherited traits. I have no doubt that pedophilia is most likely nature versus nurture. But nurture (shitty choice in words), can be the big nature catalyst. Put someone with alcoholic genes in the family restaurant/bar business and look what happens....

It might be the same with pedos. I don't know. What I do know, is that they generally cannot (and don't want to) be rehabilitated. So our choices are jail them for life at a cost of 70k/yr X 30 yr average = 2.1M dollars. Or a reusable noose.
