I would love justice too, but I do think this aspect of child abuse needs to be considered: Testimony of Ronald Bernard I agree with Ronald: we need to make more people aware. This is only partially handled by this suggested law. Also the law can be used just like they do on black people: target people they don't like and just willy nilly frame them with pedophila by later planting evidence. Just sayin'

In large parts of Europe, here, sadly you’re only a pedophile if you’ve “made contact”. I however support the death penalty for those who make contact, those who “merely” own images of that nature, as well as those who are “merely” attracted to underage kids (18 or below). I always liked the (age/2)+7 method myself ending when the youngest person is 18. So, if one person is 18/2+7=16. So when the youngest person is 16 they are cleared hot to 18. Good intentions, but I've personally participated in the digital forensic investigation of more than one high profile case where CIA zero-day's were utilized to plant child porn onto computers of VIP's in an effort to frame them for various reasons - so unless someone is straight up caught red handed having sex with a child I almost always lean on the side of state-sponsored entities framing "child porn" cases.

If there is video evidence of someone browsing a child porn folder, that's one thing. If it's just meta data from the harddrive, that's so simple to plant it can even be embedded quite easily in other benign content and served to a target system through an ad.

Most child porn accusations seem to be bullshit used to silence someone. I couldn't with any good conscious back any legislation that would just enable these existing blackmail mechanisms to have even more deadly effect.

Back to the thread, A life sentence is also cheaper, and I believe crueler, to keep them in a cage for the rest of their lives. People just don't consider how long they're sitting in prison through numerous appeals that we as tax paying citizens have to foot the bill. When a prisoner gets a life sentence, sure they may get one or two appeals, and if no new evidence is found, they're in for a long time before they'd get to the parole board, and all the public is mainly paying for is 3 hots and a cot.

It starts there, but once something major has passed in our legal system it's stupidly easy to change it over even a short period of time - and by then the chances of revoking it have odds in the single digit percentile, since our Government never gives back power, especially at original expiration dates, etc.

why is this relevant at all? maybe 100% of people who get articles written about them have had CP planted on them. maybe you haven't been paying attention, but thanks to wikileaks we know the NSA and CIA have software specifically for planting CP on people.

that's impossible to know unless the CIA and NSA keeps logs of all the CP they've planted. even then, how hard would it be to download CP to someone's computer if you gain access to it. unless you catch someone in person downloading it (not by following their IP address) or you see them beating their meat to kids there's no way to be sure the person who owns a computer with CP is the person who downloaded it.
