Chris Andrew Mellon, 55, was arrested in January 2015 when cops raided his home after a tip-off and found a USB stick hidden in a tobacco tin.

Weeks later in May he began filming alongside Watson and an A-list cast featuring Ewan McGregor, Sir Ian McKellen, Dame Emma Thompson and Downton heartthrob Dan Stevens.

Last month he was given an eight month jail sentence suspended for two years after pleading guilty to making indecent images of children.

A judge at Inner London crown court heard he downloaded 27 pictures of pre-pubescent children being abused between August 2007 and September 2014.

Some were in most serious category A — which includes rape and sadism.

A source said: “The police raided his house in early 2015 after a tip off.

“He maintained his innocence at first, but decided to plead guilty on the day of his trial.”

So, he "[made] indecent images of children", and he "downloaded 27 pictures of pre-pubescent children being abused ".... but all he got was an 8 month jail sentence.

It looks like he dragged out the criminal proceeding to continue working under a very lucrative contract. Hopefully news of his arrest caused everyone around him to keep a watchfull eye. He didn't learn anything from the case as he maintains there were no victims, he was just a lurker. He was totally oblivious to the fact that someone else did the abuse in taking pictures or videotapes of children. Since he is a customer of such pornography, then he creates the demand for the product so he is equally complicit. These folks should have enormous fines attached to their sentences to pay for the law enforcement and victim rehab costs in addressing this scourge.

I didn't see anywhere in the article where it claimed he MADE indecent images of children but he sure as shit had them the sick bastard. How is Disney going to defend this shit?
