"USA has dropped columnist Cheri Jacobus after the political strategist and frequent TV pundit insulted Republican consultant and Trump ally Michael Caputo’s daughters and suggested that they be used at “parties” by convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

“Our editors in the opinion section became aware of the tweet by freelance columnist Cheri Jacobus just after noon today,” a spokesperson for the company told TheWrap Thursday evening.

“An hour later after researching the issue, our editors let Jacobus know that she would no longer be writing for USA TODAY,” the spokesperson added. “We have asked her to remove the USA TODAY affiliation from her bio.”

I can understand there being severe differences in politics, but such horrid words should meet with drastic measures. What a horrid thing to say about anyone's child. No matter what they adult did, we should never punish their children. Terrible. And the punishment was just.

I've begun to think it stems from a sociopathic antipathy toward other human beings in general--despite their loud claims about how much they care about people. Their actions belie their words. I think they focus on children when they want to hurl particularly nasty insults because they know most "normal" people care deeply about children.
