Guess we will see if this is true or not. This could be wishful thinking for pedo sympathizers, or they could be laying the groundwork for us to just accept him being reinstated.

The comments on the article are worth a read. People are not happy about this possibility!

Uh stupid is as stupid does....let Disney make that mistake, most excellent way for true colours to be worn like a bright flag for all to see. DISNEY Hires/hearts/loves PEDOS. Pick one and print a t-shirt. Boycott...only thing that work with these people is their pocket book. They change overnight when it effect the bottom line.

Disney would be stupid to bring him back I think they will cancel the 3rd Guardians of Galaxy movie entirely. They can't win on this sequel if they don't re-hire Gunn there will be idiots on social media protesting and if they do re-hire him there will be many more smart people boycotting and campaigning against it. They don't need a 3rd movie there are many other Marvel super heroes they can make movies about. This would be their best play now just cancel it altogether.

That would be a really dumb thing for him to do, I hope he does. It would be a public statement of supporting what he's done and thus an indictment of his own character and thus round two of the entire shitshow. Escalation.
