rescued boys were in leicester where helicopter crash that killed Thai owner of King Power Stadium. A very elite level Thai. His last name was bestowed upon him by the Thai King himself in 2012

What the hell, this story gets fishier by the week

Check out this link with more info - Hapless helpers rescued

  1. It wasn't just four men, there was more of them, but the others managed to get out.
  2. One of the four men left behind was the president of the Thai Well Water Association.
  3. They had no diving experience.
  4. They had taken food and supplies to last a month

Why didn't the men who made it out tell the rescue operation that they had work colleagues trapped in the cave? They were down there for three days.

Why didn't the Thai Well Water Association report to the police/rescue operation that they're own president was missing? Why didn't any of their relatives or friends report them missing? Why didn't they inform any of the authorities of their plan? Why did they take enough food for a month?

Mad_As_Hell

Thanks for this info, even more suspicious now. I’d be taking a long hard look into the Thai Well Water Association

rickman

Also it says they were there draining water from the cave. Wouldn't that require big, noisy machinery like pumps and lorries? How did they slip by unnoticed?

rickman

"His offer to help had been rebuffed as impractical"

Actually the diver told Musk to shove his offer of help up his ass. Why such unpleasantness for someone genuinely trying to help?

Sumeriansister

No, I seriously doubt it.

Kekmet-Peperoni

Do any sperlunkers know if at least in western countries if we keep maps of cave systems. I dont want to go digging around Thai websites if they are unlikely to even exist. I just want to know if there is a possibility that the kids were being kidnapped or smuggled over the border.

"The cave's main entrance chamber is 80 metres (260 ft) long.[1] It winds through 10.3 kilometres (6.4 mi) of limestone strata and has many deep recesses, narrow tunnels, boulder chokes, collapses, and sumps. Stalactites and stalagmites are found throughout the cave.[1] There is a permanent stream inside the cave, which enters from the west, flows with the passage for several metres, and exits via the eastern wall.[2] A team of French cavers made the first survey of Tham Luang's main cave in 1986 and 1987. Further surveys were done in 2014 and 2015 by the British cavers VERN UNSWORTH, Martin Ellis, Phil Collett, and Rob Harper." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tham_Luang_Nang_Non

"British national Vern Unsworth who lives in Chiang Rai is being hailed as the man who kick started the successful cave rescue that saw the lives of 12 boys and their coach saved.

Vern was the first to react to the impending disaster as he contacted his buddies in England from the DCRO cave rescue team.

He was on hand to brief Robert Harper, Rick Stanton and John Volanthen as soon as they arrived in the north of Thailand.

Vern knew the cave system well having done surveys of the passageways.

Yesterday Thai Rath praised him and published a note showing that he started the operation that eventually led to Mr Stanton and Mr Volanthen being the first to reach the boys." https://news.thaivisa.com/article/23199/unsung-hero-brit-vern-unsworth-started-the-cave-rescue

"A visitor centre outside the main entrance has a detailed map of the cave.[2] There is a car park nearby. The first 1 kilometre (0.6 mi) of the cave is open to the public for guided tours between November and June.[1] The cave floods during rainy season and is closed to visitors" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tham_Luang_Nang_Non

Kekmet-Peperoni

Thanksman. I found this cave map its incomplete, but it says the most northern end of the cave heads West, and this image it show Thailand (the scale is great) but if the cave only goes west at the northern point then I don't think its far enough to get over the border to Laos. Ah well, but thanks for the help all the same.

septimasexta

Great find. I don't think we can rule out that it goes to the border. I would think locals know these caves far better than a British nationalt. This was a major area for drug trafficking for many generations. I find it interesting that the cave was mapped only a few years ago, 2016, and by a non-Tai who was the Brit hero of the cave rescue. Too many oddities about this incident.

Kekmet-Peperoni

Oh shit yeah The Golden Triangle, The area between Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand. I don't know why that didn't hit me before good catch. I'm gonna see if I can get lucky and find some Thai social media site or even news stories on the Golden triangle that might indicate drug traffickers are using caves to cross the borders.

British national Vern Unsworth who lives in Chiang Rai:

"If you are not scared of the dark and enjoy a walk into the unknown, then try Chiang Rai’s Wat Tham Pla (‘Fish Cave Temple’, but also called ‘Monkey Temple’). Burrowed into a huge rock face about 13km south of Mae Sai, this cave sits on a steep hill behind the main temple building. Climb up some 200 stone steps and you will be struck by the sight of towering limestone walls festooned in leafy green closing in on both sides. Inside, the cave is pitch black, with two large chambers housing a Burmese-style bejeweled Bhudda image. Exit the other end, and a series of steps await you as well as an all-encompassing view of verdant jungle bordering Thailand, Burma and Laos – The Golden Triangle. "

The Golden Triangle History:

"1950's U.S. efforts to contain the spread of Communism in Asia involves forging alliances with tribes and warlords inhabiting the areas of the Golden Triangle, (an expanse covering Laos, Thailand and Burma), thus providing accessibility and protection along the southeast border of China. In order to maintain their relationship with the warlords while continuing to fund the struggle against communism, the U.S. and France supply the drug warlords and their armies with ammunition, arms and air transport for the production and sale of opium. The result: an explosion in the availability and illegal flow of heroin into the United States and into the hands of drug dealers and addicts" https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/heroin/etc/history.html

But days earlier, it emerged, the Britons unexpectedly found four Thais who, unbeknown to rescuers, had themselves become trapped by flood water while trying to find the children.

Who are those 4 adults and why were THEY trying to find those children. We heard nothing at all about them. Until Now.

Narcissism

I know one of the divers buddies and the story he told me at the time was as follows. The 4 guys were Thai Seals who had gone down one of a miriad of passageways in the search for the boys and got lost. The Seals had surfaced in a cavern well of track, and were stuck there as they and had run out of air. The problem was that the Thais were not checking people in and out of the cave as is standard procedure in such events. It was a typical Thai haphazard thing - so shockingly they had no idea that the divers were even missing in the first place. Because Thailand, and the military junta, were trying to turn the whole thing into a flag waving exercise the event would have been extremely embarrassing at the time if it got out. So the commander of the operation said: "This (story) doesn't leave here". Well obviously it has since the divers have been talking about it.. And who knows if Hollywood will put it in the film, in which case the movie will either be edited or banned altogether in Thailand.

So in short nothing to do with trafficking just an accidental thing that happened under very dangerous and difficult circumstances.

iamthepizzanow

Thanks for the clarity.

carmencita

Well, I suppose it will all come out hopefully, during the lawsuit. I hope truth will out no matter what.

carmencita

But days earlier, it emerged, the Britons unexpectedly found four Thais who, unbeknown to rescuers, had themselves become trapped by flood water while trying to find the children.

However you feel about Musk & Co. he is not stupid. He is not going to welcome a lawsuit unless he has something "up his sleeve".

Elon Musk on Nikola Tesla – What He Said May Shock You https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QstrRR031XE

YogSoggoth

How could one name a car company after Tesla while admitting that he admires the person who stole his ideas, and ruined his life? Easy, he is a fake, a fraud, and a loser, just like Edison. I could actually go on and on about that because I am a Florida native. If you enjoy AC, that was invented in Florida too.

flyingcuttlefish

this was an entirely seperate event .... people trapped from earlier rains than usual ...

[they] accidentally encountered the quartet of Thai water company workers on June 28.

rickman

If they were there doing a job why didn't there company report them missing? Why did they only get found by accident by searchers looking for the kids?

flyingcuttlefish

just look it up yourself .... this is a real dead end story .... nothing suspicious in it whatsoever ....

https://www.tampabay.com/ap/world/hapless-helpers-recount-own-rescue-by-divers-from-thai-cave-ap_world22fcc19fb54344609fde9deb50f0aa23

rickman

Nothing suspicious in the rest of their group escaping and not notifying anyone. Three days went by the world's media reporting on this story and none of the official rescue operation were notified by the water association workers who made it out, the company itself which was now missing it's freakin president, or any of their relatives.

Three days and nobody said a word. Sure. Dead end story.

flyingcuttlefish

if you followed the story live you saw they had tarps around the cave entrance to prevent photos and total news black-out except for gov. press conferences.

This happened in military dictatorship, Thailand, not in USA.

You seem unfamiliar with the the story.

rickman

So there was a security presence at the cave then? Military stationed around the entrance, covered in tarps, to ensure people didn't go in or out? How did the workers of the water association get all their equipment or machinery past?

What part of the story am I unfamiliar with? That a group of workers slipped past the military dictatorship level of security with water pumping equipment and enough food and supplies to last a month, which would have required cars/trucks to transport to the cave. Spent two days working inside before some of the group exited the cave due to flooding. Those men failed to raise the alarm and tell the official rescuers that their co-workers and the president of the water association were trapped in the cave. Left them in there for three days until they were unwittingly discovered by divers searching for the children.

Thats what I'm familiar with and it makes no sense.

flyingcuttlefish

never mind .... you didn't follow the story as it happened. Thousands of news reports and videos available.

DeathToMasonsASAP

This is quite a find, ty OP. The story was only 3 hours old, you are on top of things. Yet another twist.

Are_we_sure

Any chance these adults were the boys’ child trafficking handlers?

No. What basis do you have to speculate?

septimasexta

They've been doing this for generations. This the heart of THE GOLDEN TRIANGLE. Major opium/drug smuggling area. The "mountain people" obviously know their caves.

septimasexta

"Why are these 32 symbols found in caves all over Europe" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJnEQCMA5Sg

everlastingphelps

So, if they were able to get that far in, it means they knew an undisclosed path to where the children were . More importantly, with all the hoopla around it, it would have been obvious and helpful to publicize that "well meaning amateurs" had tried to rescue the boys and only gotten themselves in danger. The only reason not to do that if if that wasn't the reason they were down there.

Blacksmith21

Excellent find. How long until AWS shows up to "debunk" this?

"Musk has called the caver, who was integral to the rescue because of his knowledge of Tham Luang, a “pedo” on his Twitter account. He gave no evidence to support the allegation." Another morsel.

Musk is too smart to double down on a false statement. Hopefully, we will get some truth about this. Notice the number of downvoats this post drew. We are still over the target: https://voat.co/v/pizzagate/2633397

Elon Musk seems convinced and hes smarter than me so, probably

Mae Sai, Thailand: Adul Sam-on, 14, has never been a stranger to peril.

"At age 6, Adul had already escaped a territory in Myanmar known for guerrilla warfare, opium cultivation and methamphetamine trafficking. His parents slipped him into Thailand, in the hopes that proper schooling would provide him with a better life than that of his illiterate, impoverished family.....It was Adul, the stateless descendant of a Wa ethnic tribal branch once known for headhunting, who played a critical role in the rescue, acting as interpreter for the British divers." https://www.smh.com.au/world/asia/stateless-and-poor-some-thai-boys-in-cave-already-beat-long-odds-20180711-p4zqrm.html

DARKNESS BELOW: Breaking News: British cave divers also rescued four trapped Thai rescuers in Tham Luang Cave Posted on September 24, 2018 by Tony Brocklebank

"When Rick Stanton and John Volanthen surfaced in Chamber 3 of Tham Luang Cave on day 6 of the rescue to find four people waiting for them they first thought they’d somehow found the boys from the trapped Wild Boar team. In fact they’d discovered four lost Thai rescuers who had been trapped by the rising floodwaters. " "Rick Stanton recounted the story of the rescue in a detailed one and half hour long lecture at Hidden Earth, held at Churchill Academy and Sixth Form in North Somerset, an annual conference for cavers organised by the the British Cave Research Association and the British Caving Association. Many other details of the rescue were also explained to a packed audience." https://darknessbelow.co.uk/wp-content/cache/all/breaking-news-british-cave-divers-also-rescued-four-trapped-thai-rescuers-in-tham-luang-cave/index.html

HIDDEN EARTH "Hidden Earth is the name for the British Cave Research Association’s (BCRA’s) annual caving conference.

This weekend-long event taking place in September every year is a friendly, educational, inspiring and social gathering of hundreds of cavers from across the UK and overseas.

The weekend is packed with lectures, with two or three parallel sessions running both days. Topics include new and old exploration from the UK and overseas as well as workshops covering cave science, research, technology and photography. There are competitions, games, videos and a trade hall with caving equipment vendors from across Europe selling their latest products." https://hidden.earth
