It's nonsensical for the Pope to say there is no hell. Catholicism has a long history of performing exorcisms of evil spirits. That is why Catholics frown upon speaking to mediums, because they know that dark entities are tricksters and can pretend to be your loved ones. Catholics believe in evil. This begs the question: where do these dark entities and evil spirits reside? They reside in hell. Hell might be a place where you choose to go because you're attracted to your own kind, and evil people don't want to spend their time with good people. Perhaps evil spirits go to hell willingly because that's where they feel comfortable. None of us knows anything for sure. A Catholic priest told me just recently that the hereafter is not a place that can be understood by the living. It is a realm beyond time and space, and it is only for God to understand it.

Oh, darn. Well I will have to keep believing in hell, otherwise I will go insane. Insane, because I can't deal with the fact that the horrid people will not be punished. I am not talking about people that do small crimes, it's all about the ones we have been researching about, those against Our Children. Also, he is giving his kind a go ahead to keep marauding without punishment.

As an Eastern European, from a country where more than 80% are Orthodox Christians, with few Catholics and Protestants, I will explain our view of Hell.

In Orthodox Christianity, Hell is not a geographical place as the westerners see it. It is a state of your soul. Metaphorically we say, it is to be in front of God, but with your back turned to him. Our conscience, which every human has, even sadistic serial killers, is nothing but the voice of God in each one of us. During this introduction to Existence, I mean this short life on Earth, some peopole are able to mute their conscience. After death though, the flesh is no more. The distractions of the world are more. The mute button doesn't work no more.

At that precise moment, in a millisecond, you will know (not in a human earthly kind of knowing, but in a spiritual instant kind of feeling), you will know what is your destiny: God's eternal love for you and His embrace of you, or eternal torment.

You won't be able to hide from God. Why? Because God's voice in you, will constantly remind you all the bad things you did. That constant remembering will feel as if you are tortured in a very powerful fire. It will be you acknowledging the difference between good and evil. on this Earth you can relativize what 'good' is and 'evil' is. Once you die, all the mental bullshit you used to justify your evil deeds will dissapear, and The Truth of God will hit you like a highspeed train.

That process of acknowledging Truth, will be torture for the evil ones. That is Hell.

I know that you westerners cannot understand the concept though. You are materialist. You think in concepts of space (places) and time (duration). So for your Materialist minds, Hell has to be a place.

Think of it.These pedovores, who are extremely narcissistic people, who worship themselves, who view themselves as gods, after they die they will be hit by the voice of God saying "you are pure evil". Can you imagine the extreme spiritual pain they will feel when they will acknowledge that they are not gods, that every evil perpetrated y them against pure children was soo evil, that they are forever separated from God?

Can you imagine how they will feel, when that realization hits them? I almost pity them, because their own judgement will be infinitely terrifying.

Truth hurts, but sets you free. That only applies to those who are redeemable.

For the evil ones though, Truth simply hurts. Eternally.

I was not born here, so I can understand your analogy and your belief. But I want something more for these people. I hate them so much that what you explain just is not enough. I know it is not up to me, but that is how I feel right now. I guess it is because of all the evil I read every single day, all the evil these priests have done to children. It is beyond comprehension, that a priest that the Vatican now stands behind, has almost 60 years ago skinned alive the cat of my friend in an SRA meeting when she was only 9 years old. This happened at St Charles Borromeo Seminary. Msgr. Thomas J Benestad. She survives today and is My Inspiration. Strength that I could never find. +

I am a Christian and I 100% believe in a literal hell - Why would Jesus talk about beig 'thrown into hell' If it were not a place you could be thrown into? = Also there is a literal heaven as also mentioned by Jesus when he says basicall your earthly treasures will be worthless in heaven. There IS a Heaven and a Hell, just because some people do not believe in them does not mean they are NOT real! Just like some people believe there is no God, boy are they in for a MIGHTY SHOCK when they stand before Him to give an account of their lives! Glad I have accepted his free gift of salvation and am forgiven and know I have a place in heaven awaiting me. Thank You. I so also agree. You and I believe, and I agree that just because someone does not believe in the same, does not mean we are wrong. I have always believed that the Lord will take care of those that even harm one little hair on the head of one of His Children. They are committing their crimes because they do not believe. They cannot believe there is good in this world, for they know of nothing but evil.
