Putt and testers have been working hard to add some additional features to Voat, and one of them is the ability to edit titles within 10 minutes of submission. @Peaceseeker talks about it here :

A title being editted behaves in the same way as a title-in-formulation: Unicode will get stripped, character limits of more than 10 and less than 200 are imposed, and trying to get around these limits or introduce unicode during editting does nothing.

10 minute timer seems to work. Clicking "edit" before the timer runs out and hitting "submit" after the timer runs out sends the user to a goat page. Before the goat loaded I saw the words "Whoopsy Daisy" as clickable. Probably a text form of the goat before loading.

Besides the fact that an infinite amount of edits seem to be allowable during that ten minute time span (which might be abusable by malicious bots?) I can find nothing wrong with this feature at all. Great idea, and great work Putt, people will really enjoy this ability.

Why the time limit? Sometimes further digging brings info to light that needs a title edit for accuracy.

The body of the post can be edited up to three months (until it's archived). The title has to become static after a brief window, though -- probably due to the way the post is indexed or something.

That's really great!! Clicked 'edit submission' by accident yesterday, and was confused, since titles seemingly could be edited. LOL

First, @srayzie was made a mod long before she ever discovered v/SoapBoxBanHammer . She joined that sub because she likes to shitpost, and as a result, made a bunch of friends over there. If you look at the v/pizzagate Removal log, you'll discover that she never removes posts here. You'll also discover that your first claim is false on it's face. The vast majority of posts no longer have to be removed, since I introduced the 24 Hour Grace flair and people can edit their posts.

Also, make sure you follow our submission rules when you make a post as best you can. We give 24 Hours Grace to edit, so you can tweak it if it doesn't quite make it. It's also good form to use SearchVoat.co (info in sidebar) to see what's been previously posted, and include some of those links in your post and mention how you are building on what was already posted by others.
