That's sad. Without looking deeply into this, I won't comment on more than what I see on the very surface, but these people think religion (following rules) will make them good people. I don't think they've heard about the fact that in the blood of Christ it's possible to find true freedom from these impulses. It's about inward change, not outward conformity.
