The title-only submissions were too easy a vector for shills and trolls to waste the time of the people here serious about busting pedos. Anyone could post a link with a title to a 40 minute video and SOMEone is expected to watch the whole thing in order to find the maybe relevant part the submitter wanted everyone to see?

The sub was set up as a research-only sub. To facilitate that, the users wanted the submitter post with a description of what's going on and why it's relevant. This saved EVERYONE else many man hours (probably tens of thousands since it started) in verifying the accuracy of what was claimed by the submitter.

It's not normal, it's not ideal, but in order to give PG a platform and keep the goats happy, the rules were put in place.

Compromises are never fun, but I'm happy to be the bad guy here if that's what's needed.
