Former Mayor of Islington Sandy Marks attended a meeting of a child rape advocacy group known as 'Fallen Angels', which was part of a wider homosexual conference held in Barcelona in 1980. Marks also sat on the Council's Social Services Committee in the 90s when the mass sexual abuse of children in Islington care homes started coming to light (the Islington Care Home scandal is also connected to another child rape advocacy group, PIE; please see below). At first, Marks said she had no memory of the event, then admitted that she was there and had been, "...a complete bloody idiot." and, "...manipulated by others." then changed her story again, claiming that the allegations were, "...untrue and unfounded." despite having been photographed at the meeting.

Despite calls from victims for the Labour Party to expel Marks for her association with child rape advocates, to date, no such action has been taken to the best of my knowledge. This, coupled with Labour MP for Bradford West Naz Shah's consequence free assertion that victims of Pakistani Muslim child rape gangs, "...just need to shut their mouths. For the good of diversity." can only lead one to assume that child rape is official Labour Party policy.
