Forgive me for my ignorance, but does it really take a few million in hardware to analyze a few hundred terabytes of data? I'm not implying it isn't true or anything like that, but this part interested me. Beyond that though, hopefully they can crack it.

That's a good question. The whole encryption thing is an excuse for the police allowing this group to operate for TWENTY YEARS. The only reason it came to light is because a mother found out her child had been in contact with a predator so they had to do something about it. According to both William Binney, NSA whistleblower, and Snowdon the FBI have had since the 1990s the ability to break into systems and I have seen many articles about backdoors into hardware and software... Yes. As great as computers are, they are only as good as the programs running on them. Unfortunately, most of the government's coding is very shitty compared to coding in the private sector. Software extremely lacking in efficiency, so they make up for it with crazy hardware. Strong encryption requires a massive amount of work (by computers) to crack. Not to mention if this is as big as claimed the pedos would likely have checkpoints in place to ensure anyone trying to crack it would hit roadblocks. It will be cracked eventually, but we need more people in tech to switch sides, and realize the evil we are working against.

Makes sense, thanks for explaining. Not sure where I heard this from, but apparently the government has historically had a hard time bringing in talent, since these people could make much more in the private sector vs being a government employee. This is a good time to re-evaluate this, especially at the base of this exponential curve for technology we're riding....

Also the government tests for weed, and A LOT of "computer scientists" smoke weed. I don't agree with weed use anymore, used to be an addict of it myself. I think it is time the government put aside their hate for weed, and let some of these geniuses do work to make the world a better place.

Agreed 100%. I too loved it in my 20's. I think it can be a great tool for good, especially using the Sativas (or indica for medical reasons but that is another issue), and far too many people abuse it and use it for the wrong reasons.
