I am still very skeptical in shis case because the woman that went to the yellow press outlet "Bild Zeitung" first and later to the police is Metzelders ex girlfirend. Who knows if she had access to his devices and dragged him into this? As long as not more has been found at Metzelders home computers, that might be a solid defense strategy. A common narrative in the german media is to wait for the verdict and go from there. People just don't want to believe that a guy with such a good public image did this.

Again with the children's charities. Anyone else than us would be shocked.

Yep, every bloody time

Another question: What secret did he find out so his credibility must be tarnished with c/p , not just possession but distribution charges.

Not well known: A critical German MP who headed a select committee to look into the false flag NSU affair

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sebastian_Edathy

was charged with c/p possesion as well as

German MP Jörg Tauss

https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/J%C3%B6rg_Tauss

Both "confessed" but I still find it fishy. MP Edathy was said to be a customer of a canadian (FVEY) site. MP Tauss had CDs hidden in a book.

Not saying this was deep state through and through but again, c/p possession is the only remaining Kryptonite if you want to ban someone from public life, just short of suiciding someone.

The first sounds strange, and the second not as much. Would be easier to tell If I knew more about European affairs. To give an example, everyone except the dumbest American knows the Clinton's were/are corrupt, but would the average Australian? All they know is what they read, and probably could care less because it does not change their situation. Not sure who down voted that without comment.

Some hide in the shadows, but this guy has over 40 caps. This brings the game onto disrepute.

Well-known players ought to be role-models for the youth. Their presence in training, for example, will provide for an impetus for the youngsters to train hard and improve their game. Try telling me that Roberto Carlos being present in under-13s wouldn't boost their confidence. As long the guy is of reputable conduct of course. (using Carlos as an example of an upstanding football player)
