How did pizzagate even get started? ( pizzagate )

Simple question, how did pizzagate initial gain traction? What was it that brought it to light? Ive been following for a while but have absolutely no clue as to how it got started.

@Vindicator might be among the best-equipped to answer this one.

What I can say somewhat confidently is that it is a grave misconception and potentially a disinfo campaign, that pizzagte centers entirely on the (now debunked, in some cases by pizzagaters themselves) claims made specifically about a basement and etc in Comet Ping Pong.

It is my understanding that the connections leading in and out of CPP are the 'meat' or 'core' of pizzagate, rather than the outrageous claims that a basement was located in the building or that it was used for the heinous crimes espoused/investigated by pizzagaters. What these connections seem to imply is that many at the top of U.S. politics and politics in other countries, are joined at the hip not least of all by CPP and business interests in the immediate vicinity, but also to 'elite' (rich/powerful) pedophiles and that as such, pedophiles have an unjustifiably strong influence over government - said influence has been largely masked for fuck only knows how long.

The events and leaks (Clinton/Podesta emails, for example) that lead to pizzagate and which have come along since, may very well be our shot at actually exposing the worst of the worst in this world. The tricky part is wading through the cunning disinfo and psychological traps they have laid out over the centuries.
