Are you referring to the practice of transmitting herpes by mouth suction during circumcision? My understanding is that it is mostly a problem with the Orthodox sects, but other sects of Judaism just circumcise without oral contact.

There are 2 problems with your statement. First, at least one famous Jewish ritual, namely circumcision, is already widely criticized as a disagreeable part of orthodox Judaism.

The second problem is that even if the good type of Judaism has no child abuse, some perverts get into positions of power in Judaism and then get arrested for sex crimes against children. It is somewhat like the problem with Catholic priests. Maybe only 1 percent of Catholic priests are child abusers but all Catholic priests are described as child abusers in popular opinion.

The circumcision isn't the part people dislike. The use of the lips to convey oral herpes to the infant's genitals is what people dislike. And it seems to be a problem rarely encountered with non-religious circumcisions.

You don't have to lump all Jews together to make these arguments. Benjamin Freedman was what I would call Jewish, but he called himself a "former Jew" and I respect that label. Israel Shahak wrote books against Jewish fundamentalist religion. I distinguish Jewish individuals and I definitely don't blame Freedman or Shahak for the herpes incidents, or for the pervasive corruption exposed by Operation Bid Rig.
