By the way, this headline is a great example of how Snopes works. They'll make a claim that is false and then prove that it's false and then everyone believes that it was all...false. As Vindicator says below/above, it was in the days before - I'm sure Snopes would leave that part out though.

No it was afterwards I think. And just to be clear, as reading it that way can make people think otherwise, this was a camera at that location not at Comet itself.

How did you track those threads down so quick?

I've read almost every submission made to this board over the past three years, so I remembered KR63's submissions and just looked them up via the username. I also used https://SearchVoat.co and searched oldest first for submissions mentioning "Comet" and "traffic". From there, I looked at the comments and noticed the lovely soul who had archived the slimg graphic. That was great. We got burned really bad by the slimg takedown.
