There was another CDAN blind item or a reveal that claimed Lavrenty Beria, Stalin's head of his Secret Police and responsible for the deaths of tens of millions, visited Hollywood for a time a time post WW#2 and befriended Capra and allegedly they participated in the killing of a woman. Beria was also a known paedophile which disgusted other Soviet leaders.

There is a movie The Death of Stalin (2017), a uneven black comedy, that shows the jockeying for power among the possible successors to Stalin, where Beria is executed and Khrushchev finally wins.

Another movie is, The Inner Circle (1991) The true story of Ivan Sanchin, the KGB officer who was Stalin's private film projectionist from 1939 until the dictator's death. Stalin had a love of Hollywood movies, especially MGM musicals, and would often invite (terrified) senior members of his government to midnight screenings, at the conclusion of which he would single out someone in disfavor who would be taken down to Kremlin basement to be shot.
