I agree with all of that, and more. I can't find a relevant post most of the time to share anything, but here is this from Julians rum twitter, "St. Augustine noted that the child-sacrificing Carthaginians referred to themselves as the "Chanani” or Canaanites." Would that not be a possible alternate meaning, or root for, the surname Chandler?
